Grow a Pet Fighter Not Working? How to Tell Whether It Is Down

Three different failures look identical from a player's chair. How to tell a Roblox outage from a full server from a problem on your own device.

Three failures that look the same

When a Roblox game will not load, the screen looks the same whether the problem is Roblox's infrastructure, the game's own servers, or your device. Separating them takes about a minute if you know what to check, and this page is that minute.

The first possibility is a Roblox-wide outage. When Roblox itself is degraded, every game is affected and the failure is usually at the point of joining rather than inside the game: you get stuck on the loading screen, or you are returned to the app's home page. The second is a problem with this game's own servers, which would show as some players getting in and others not. The third is local: an out-of-date app, a full storage cache, a restricted network, or an account setting that limits what you can join.

Telling them apart matters because the fix is different in each case, and because the first two are not something a player can do anything about.

The check nobody else can give you

Our collector polls Grow a Pet Fighter's concurrent player count several times an hour, roughly every 24 minutes, and it has done since 3 September 2026. The live panel at the top of this site's home page shows the newest reading and states how many minutes ago it was taken.

That gives you a direct test. If the panel shows a reading from a few minutes ago and the number is in the hundreds or thousands, then the game is up, its servers are running and other people are in it, so whatever is stopping you is either your device, your connection, or the particular server you are trying to reach. If the panel's newest reading is an hour old or the number is a fraction of its usual range, that is consistent with a real problem on the game's side, and it is the closest thing to an independent measurement of that which exists anywhere.

What the panel cannot do is tell you about a specific server. It counts players across the whole game, so one broken server among hundreds would not move it.

The eight-player problem

One cause of failed joins is specific to this game and easy to overlook. Roblox's own record gives Grow a Pet Fighter a server cap of eight players, which we read on 10 September 2026. Eight is small. If you are trying to join a friend, or trying to rejoin a server you were in a moment ago, that server may simply be full, and Roblox's behaviour when that happens can look like a failure rather than a queue.

The same cap is used by the other three games in this naming family, so it is a template default rather than a decision made for this game's modes. It also means that a busy evening is a busier time to join than a quiet morning: our own archive shows this game's concurrent count moving between roughly a third and a whole multiple of its daily median across a single day, so the odds of finding a free slot vary a lot by hour.

What to check, in order

• Our live panel, for a fresh reading: it proves the game is up and serving players if the sample is recent and the number is normal.
• Roblox's own status page, status.roblox.com, which is where a platform-wide outage is reported. We opened it on 10 September 2026 and it answered normally.
• Whether other Roblox games load. If they do, the platform is fine and the problem is either this game or your specific server.
• Whether you can join a different server of this game, using the game page's server list rather than a direct rejoin.
• Whether your app is current. A stale client is a common cause of join failures that look like the game's fault.

What we have not checked

We do not run this game and we have no relationship with its developer, so we cannot restart a server, clear a queue or confirm a bug report. The only official channel we have been able to confirm is the developer's group, God Bless Zak 7, and we have not found any support form, status feed or bug tracker for the game itself, which means there is no authoritative place to read whether a problem is known.

We also cannot detect a partial outage faster than Roblox reports one. Our collector gives you a number roughly every 24 minutes, which is enough to say the game is alive and not enough to say every server is healthy. If you are stuck and the panel shows a healthy count, the honest conclusion is that your problem is local or specific, and not that the game is down for everyone.
