Is Build a Pet Fighter a Different Game From Grow a Pet Fighter?
Roblox's own search for Build a Pet Fighter returns this game first. What that means, and the near-identical name that is a genuinely different game.
The search result that answers the question
We asked Roblox's own search for Build a Pet Fighter on 10 September 2026. The first result returned was Grow a Pet Fighter, the game this site covers. Across the first page of results, twelve names long, no experience was named exactly Build a Pet Fighter.
That is not proof that no such game has ever existed. It is proof that the phrase is not the name of anything Roblox is currently surfacing, and it explains why people arrive at this game looking for it: Roblox's search matches text in a game's description as well as its title, and this game's description opens with the words Welcome to Build a Pet Fighter! So the search engine is doing exactly what it should with a page that contains that sentence.
The name that is a real game, and a real trap
One result on that page deserves a warning, because it is close enough to cause genuine confusion. Build A Pet Factory is a separate experience with its own universe ID, published on 5 October 2025 by a developer called Truly Interactive. It had 53,220,297 visits and 481 concurrent players when we read its record on 10 September 2026, and its servers hold six players.
That game is nearly a year older than Grow a Pet Fighter, is roughly eighty times larger by visits, and shares three words with the description line that people are searching for. If you have read something about Build a Pet Factory, a pet factory, a build mode, or a game with pets in a factory, it was not this game. Conversely, if you are reading a page about Grow a Pet Fighter that describes factories, it has confused the two, and that is a mistake worth checking for because the two games have nothing to do with each other.
The names are close enough that we expect code lists and price lists for one to circulate as the other's. That is why this site names the developer of every game it mentions.
Why we cannot tell you why the description says Build
The two names appear on the same store page, which means one of them was written when the other was already settled. A developer can rename a Roblox game at any time, and Roblox does not publish the history of that change, does not archive older versions of a description, and does not expose a game's former names through its API. So the two explanations, a rename that left the description behind, and a description written from a template and never corrected, cannot be told apart with public data.
What we can say is that the rest of the description is unmistakably this game's. Hatch eggs, send pets to the arena, send them to the tower, fuse pets together, earn cash offline: those four instructions describe this game and no other, so the Build line is a stray word rather than evidence that the description belongs somewhere else.
How to check which game you are looking at
- Read the header of the Roblox page. Grow a Pet Fighter is published by the group God Bless Zak 7, which has 118,736 members and a verified owner account.
- Check the creation date. This game was published on 16 August 2026, which is months after Build A Pet Factory's October 2025 date.
- Check the server size. This game holds eight players per server, Build A Pet Factory holds six, which is a quick way to tell a page's screenshots apart.
- Look for a factory. If the screenshots show a production line, a conveyor or a shop interior, you are on the wrong game's page.
What we have not checked
We have not searched Roblox exhaustively, only its own first page of results for one phrase, so a small game called Build a Pet Fighter with very few visits could exist below the results we read. We have also not checked whether this game had a different title at any point, because there is no public record to check against, and we have not asked the developer about it.
What we can state without hedging is the part a confused reader needs: both names belong to the same store page, Grow is the title the platform uses, and if you came here from a search for Build a Pet Fighter you are on the right game and the sentence you saw is in its own description.
