Is Grow a Pet Fighter Pay to Win? What the One Pass Does
One pass, 2x Money at 199 Robux, is the entire measured monetisation. What it can and cannot buy, and the check that would settle the rest.
What the game actually sells
Grow a Pet Fighter sells one thing: a game pass called 2x Money, priced at 199 Robux, on sale, created on 18 August 2026 and last changed on 1 September 2026. We read that from Roblox's game-pass endpoint on 10 September 2026, and the list had exactly one entry.
That is the whole of the measured monetisation. It is worth saying how we know it is the whole, because this page previously said the game sold nothing at all. We had been querying an endpoint that returns 404 for every game, including games that certainly do sell passes, and had read that failure as an absence. The working endpoint returns this game's pass as an ordinary response, and an empty list would have looked like an empty list.
Whether doubling money is pay to win
It depends entirely on what money buys, and that is the thing the developer has never documented. Their description names cash once, as something pets generate while you are offline, and never names a sink: no egg prices, no fusion cost, no upgrade and no shop list. So the honest answer needs two halves.
The first half is what the pass cannot do. It does not give you a pet, an egg, a floor in the tower or an entry into the arena. Nothing in the pass list offers a shortcut past a wall, because the only wall the game has published is a progression curve whose contents are unstated. If the game's power comes from fusing pets into stronger ones, and fusing is limited by how many pets you have, then doubling cash only helps if cash is what buys pets.
The second half is what it can do, and it is not nothing. In an idle game the offline rate is the game's engine, and a pass that doubles the currency produced by that engine is a permanent multiplier on everything the currency touches. That is a bigger effect than a cosmetic and a smaller one than a power unlock, and it sits exactly on the line where the phrase pay to win stops being useful.
What has not been checked, and why the gap matters here
Roblox sells one-off developer products, such as currency bundles or single-use boosts, through a different endpoint from game passes. We tried two documented forms of it on 10 September 2026 and both returned 404 Not Found, for this game and for a large control game we tested alongside it. That tells us the endpoint is not open to signed-out readers rather than that either product list is empty.
So the measured statement is carefully bounded: one pass is the floor of what this game sells, not the ceiling. A currency bundle would not show up in the check we ran, and a currency bundle is precisely the kind of purchase that would change the answer to this page's question. We would rather publish a bounded claim we can defend than a clean one we cannot.
How it compares with the game next door
Grow a Chicken Fighter is the largest game in this naming family, and it sells a pass called King of the Coop at 1,499 Robux. We read that the same way on the same day. That is seven and a half times the price of Grow a Pet Fighter's only pass, on a game with roughly twelve times this game's concurrent players.
It would be easy to turn that into a story about either developer, and there is no evidence for one. What it does show is that the number of items a game sells is not a measure of how much it costs to play: a game with one item can be more expensive in practice than a game with five, depending on what the item does and what the game's free path looks like. Neither game publishes enough about its economy to answer that.
What we have not checked
We have not bought the pass, so we cannot confirm that it doubles money as its name says, whether the effect applies to offline income as well as online, or whether it stacks with anything. We have not played the game, so we cannot say how long a player who spends nothing takes to reach the same point, which is the only honest way to answer a pay-to-win question. And we have not asked the developer.
One thing on this page is worth acting on rather than reading. The pass list is visible to anyone on the game's own Roblox page, and it is the single figure here that could change without our noticing between our read and your visit. If the list now has more than one item, this page is out of date and the new item is the interesting one.

Frequently asked
Is Grow a Pet Fighter pay to win?
It sells one pass, 2x Money at 199 Robux, which doubles a currency. There is no documented way to buy a pet, an egg, a floor or a level, so nothing purchasable is power in itself.
How much does Grow a Pet Fighter cost?
The game is free to play. Its only measured purchase is a 199 Robux pass, and Roblox's developer-product endpoint would not answer us, so we cannot rule out one-off purchases outside the pass system.
Can you buy pets with Robux?
Not through any pass we can see. The game sells exactly one item, it is a money multiplier, and it does not name a pet, an egg or a mode.
